Black H’mong Women

The Black H’mong women are famous for their handcrafted embroidery clothing. Their traditional attire are made from hemp fabric and predominantly indigo in colour, which is produced in the local fields of the Sapa valley of Vietnam’s far north. Other colors are also used in the embroidery of the collar, belt and sleeves to help distinguish age and skill, with younger women combing modern items of clothing with their outfits.
